Laj’s legacy dates back to 2010 when it started manufacturing paper bags in its home garage. Back then they only had one paper bag printing machine. The company initially focused on production of paper bags in small amounts in order to appeal to small and medium-sized businesses in need of customised and affordable paper bags. After years of hard work, the firm has managed to gain traction on numerous foreign markets. As a result, it purchased new business premises in the heart of Maribor city which nowadays represent a core of its production process. These day we have a capacity to manufacture up to 25, 000 bags a day, mostly by using inputs with relatively low environmental impacts such as recycled paper. Our core markets include Germany, France, Belgium and Denmark but we also derive a substantial portion of our revenue from the local market. Ever since our inception ten years ago, we endeavour to make the world a better place through reducing our reliance on plastic bags and related products and consequently contributing to a cleaner and pollution-free environment.

Our footwear is made with love and commitment from our workers from all generations. It is distinguished by fashionable and everyday design, suitable for various needs and purposes. We desire to make our customers feel good and comfortable when using our footwear. We are very proud that our footwear is also used for protection at work, thanks to the quality and suitability certificates awarded to many models. Future developments are increasingly focused and adapted to this purpose. 135 years of existence, operation and development are felt at every step. We produce various types of lasts in various types of production with various types of forging that perfectly serve their purpose. Our most important attributes in the field of last making are: more than 120 years of experience, CAD department for designing lasts, soles, shoe trees and shoes, CAM machines for producing prototype lasts, CAM machines for serial production of lasts, CAM machines for cutting leather, paper, plastic and other materials, laser engraving on different materials, experienced employees, permanent investments in human resources and technology, use of high quality synthetic and natural materials.
